Detail information about job Digital and Social Media Specialist. Terms and conditions vacancy
12 Months Fixed Term Contract, Full Time
UNICEF is the world’s leading children’s agency. We work in 190 countries to help children survive and thrive, providing clean water and sanitation, education, healthcare, nutrition, and child protection. We are mandated by the United Nations to advocate for the protection of children's rights here in NZ and around the world.
We are looking for a Digital and Social Media Specialist to join the Communications team at UNICEF NZ.
The successful candidate will be responsible for social media awareness, engagement and conversation across all UNICEF NZ platforms. They will drive the social media strategy, and increase awareness and understanding of UNICEF’s work for children through engaging, relevant and informative content.
Candidates will have the equivalent of 3-5 years experience in a similar role, including public relations, social media, digital marketing or content production. They will be experienced in creating written and visual content for social media, understand what success looks like for both organic and paid content, and be skilled at planning around a calendar of global activity.
They will be proficient in social media management software and analytics packages including Facebook Insights, Google Analytics and Listening tools. Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Adobe Creative suite, especially In Design and Premiere Pro, will be an advantage.
Because of the differing fundraising, brandraising and child rights requirements, they will be able to manage multiple projects and produce content under tight timeframes. The role requires close working relationships with the fundraising, communications and child rights teams, so candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills.
