One Warkworth Business Association is now well recognised as the organisation representing businesses in the Warkworth area.  Since the appointment of a Manager to One Warkworth in 2017, there has been a rise in activity of One Warkworth, so to maintain this growth, the decision was made to create this new role to support the Manager and the Committee with One Warkworth initiatives.

So we are looking for a passionate individual with drive and energy, who can provide this support to help achieve the goals of One Warkworth. 

This is initially a part-time role, 25-30 hours a week, with some flexibility of days and engagement.  Because of this, it could ideally suit someone with other interests, a parent who wants to work during school hours, or simply someone with the right experience and passion for the Warkworth Community!

You will report to the Chair of the Committee, and work alongside the One Warkworth Manager, supporting all One Warkworth initiatives within the communications and promotions portfolio, for the Warkworth Community.  These include implementing the communications and promotions strategies agreed by the Committee, communicating with existing and new members and sponsors, and being the primary support person for promotions and events.  You will also be the support person for the Committee on a day-to-day basis, and this includes attending and recording Committee meetings.

You will have a natural ability with the written and spoken word, and need to be very media savvy, including knowing social media back-to-front, as your responsibilities will include all social media communication as well as managing website content.  Up-to-date experience with technology and relevant software packages for publication both on-line and in print, is essential.  

As with any role in a small membership organisation, everyone is hands-on and does what’s needed to get things done.  And this role is no different.  So, as well as the interesting stuff, you will need to take minutes of meetings, send out emails, and do some of the mundane things we all do!

On offer is an attractive hourly rate and flexibility as to days and hours.  The Board will consider a flexible fixed term engagement arrangement, either permanent or contract.
