About us

Hill Laboratories is New Zealand's largest independent analytical testing laboratory. We are a privately owned New Zealand company and provide a family friendly, supportive and innovative environment. The head office is located in Hamilton, which is where this role will be based.

The role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be part of our small, but results-orientated Marketing team working to drive customer loyalty and brand presence. You will play a key support role in rolling out our national marketing strategy. Primarily this will involve planning and coordinating all corporate events, sponsorships and donations that arise throughout the year and developing our internal communications. You will also be involved with campaign management, which will include working with external design agencies and suppliers to implement campaign initiatives across a wide variety of both traditional and digital channels.

About you

You will be a dynamic multi-tasker who has a great eye for design, the ability to co-ordinate events and provide administration support. You will have the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your work, while also being an integral part of a team and being flexible.

You will be a creative and motivated person who can bring ideas to the table, launch new initiatives and also manage existing programmes. You will be able to display excellent time management and organisational skills and above all, a great, positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities will includ the following:

• Coordinating all aspects of corporate events, sponsorships and donations
• Managing promotional merchandise and company clothing
• Developing and implementing internal communications plan
• Assisting with campaign management, website maintenance and digital marketing
• Coordinating videography and photography as required

Key attributes required include the following:

• Tertiary qualified and ideally a minimum two years work experience in a support role within a marketing environment
• Understanding of core marketing principals
• Well developed and confident communication skills
• The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external

This position will suit someone who has experience in a marketing support role and is a high performer with a great attitude. Experience gained from working in technical industry sectors, such as agriculture, research or laboratory testing will be advantageous.
