Our client is currently looking to welcome aboard a scientist with strong UV-Vis instrumentation experience for an initial 6-month contract position (full time hours) that has the potential be extended.
Key skills include:
- Experience with a wide range of sample preparation techniques and good general wet chemistry skills.
- UV-Vis spectrophotometry expertise
- Self-motivated and the ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts for people who do not have a scientific background
Your primary responsibility will be to use, test and evaluate molecular spectroscopy instrumentation with a view to identifying issues to be resolved. Once identified you must be able to clearly articulate issues and solutions in both verbal and written form.
You will necessarily possess a relevant degree in Science, ideally including a Masters/PhD which honed your spectroscopy (UV-Vis) skills.
