ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

SGS Australia has opportunities for experienced Laboratory Assistants to work on our onsite Geochemicals Laboratories on a FIFO basis. Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for the analysis of samples, ensuring that strict Quality controls are met, whilst maximising turnaround times and productivity.

RESPONSIBILITES

In this role you will be required to:
• Understand the processes of preparation and analysis of samples by ICP and XRF
• Maintain the upkeep of analytical and sample preparation equipment
• Perform analysis of samples in a timely manner.
• Be responsible for own safety and health at work.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to previous experience in a Minerals Laboratory, the ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following:
• Good communication skills.
• High level of chemical knowledge.
