Overview
CSG Talent have been briefed on an exciting opportunity with a FMCG manufacturing organisation here in Sydney. The opportunity will be a varied one across R&D, NPD and QA.
The Company
This business produce Healthy Beverages and supplements/food and are growing at a fast rate in terms of revenue and producing new products. They are expanding a variety of their teams currently including the NPD team.
The Role
This role will involve managing the product development from concept right the way through to launch for all key product development projects. The successful candidate will ensure new products are commercialised to appropriate food and quality standards, in line with both customer and business standards. Provide technical expertise across our portfolio, developing new products identifying efficiency improvements, managing cost down projects and identifying commercial opportunities.
• Manage and provide leadership on technical aspects of projects; including all approval steps, documentation, risk identification, management of technical resources and project timelines
• Evaluate raw materials and functional ingredients for suitability and quality for use in new and/or existing products and processes.
• Preparation of trials and the collection and processing of data
• Review existing formulations with the objective to reduce costs and improve quality
• Ensure internal procedures are followed when commercialising new products

The Person
This successful candidate will possess all of the following attributes:
- Minimum 4 years in a R&D Development or very similar position
- Brewing experience specifically is necessary for this position
- Degree in Food science or a related discipline
- Food or Beverage Manufacturing experience required
- High level of attention to detail
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate confidently
- Proficient within all Microsoft Applications
