2 - *NEW* ENERGY & RESOURCES LAWYER | 2-6 YEARS' PAE
  • ROLE: Our client is looking for a motivated corporate lawyer to join their team. 
  • FIRM: This is a top-tier firm where you will be exposed to many of Australia's top 100 companies and leading multi-nationals. This includes both Domestic and International Clients. 
  • WORK: Your role will include merges and acquisitions, JV’s, financing and procurement. There will be a particular focus on the energy and infrastructure sector, including mining, renewables and oil & gas. You will have the opportunity to advise large clients including energy suppliers, state and federal government bodies, and mining companies.
  • CANDIDATE: You need at least 2 years' PAE in the energy and resources sector and should be a self-starter who can work as part of a team in order to meet client needs and deadlines. You must also have excellent academics (Honours minimum 5.25GPA). Corporate M&A or projects background is preferred but not essential.

  • WORK:  In this role you can expect to act for clients in relation to takeovers, mergers and acquisitions. You will day to day tasks will include undertaking due diligence in respect of transactions, negotiation and preparation of complex transaction documents. You will assist public listed companies in relation to the ASX listing rules and Corporations Act responsibilities.
  • CANDIDATE: You will require 4 Years' PAE minimum at a medium, top or national firm with significant exposure to corporate private enterprise work. You will be comfortable providing advice regarding the corporations Act and ASX Listing rules.

4 - CORPORATE FINANCE LAWYER | SA TO SPECIAL COUNSEL LEVEL WITH A FAST TRACK TO PARTNERSHIP
  • FIRM:  Sizable eastern seaboard firm and a market leader in their space.
  • WORK: This will involve negotiation, document drafting, and advice around corporate finance transactions, debt finance, as well as property and projects funding.
  • CANDIDATE: You will need to have a minimum of 6+ years' post admission experience in banking/finance work, must be highly motivated towards carving out your own niche, as well as stepping up to Senior Associate or Special Counsel level based on your client management skills. That said, if a young gun with 4+ years' experience, who was able to operate autonomously, wished to be considered then there may be room to accommodate an associate level role. 
  • PROGRESSION: The fast track to partnership is there and the Managing Partner will reiterate this at interview.
  • REWARDS:  This firm actively promotes work-life balance (days typically no longer than 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and no weekends) and is very supportive in its culture. 5 - CORPORATE FINANCE LAWYER | SA | TOP-TIER FIRM
  • FIRM: Our client is a pre-eminent national law firm and is considered an Employer of Choice by many.  They are at the top of their game in terms of technical legal competence and are lauded as legal gentry given they carry themselves with pride and grace, as well as treat their industry colleagues with respect and courtesy. Rarely do we need to recruit for them as they have extremely low staff turnover.
  • ROLE: Due to a change in circumstances, the Corporate Finance Team is looking to recruit a Junior SA as 2IC to a Partner on transactions, as well as to provide mentoring and guidance to junior members of the team in the absence of the Partner. 
  • WORK: In this role your skills will be further developed and honed while gaining exposure to a variety of corporate finance work, including: capital raising and debt funding; corporate financing for major property and infrastructure projects; Acting on concession and financing issues for Utilities Infrastructure; Advising on the acquisition of sizeable assets within the resources sector; Advising on the acquisition of senior debt as well as on restructuring of secondary financing arrangements and secondary debt trade.
  • CANDIDATE: Ideally, the successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years PAE in corporate finance related matters. At least 2 of the last 5 years will ideally have been served within a national mid or top tier firm in any capital city of Australia, the United Kingdom, Asia Pacific, or the Middle East. You will also have a sound knowledge of corporate finance, as well as the disciplines inherent in capital raising and financial management.
