About the Mucosal Immunology Laboratory:
The Mucosal Immunology Laboratory aims to understand the mechanisms of immune tolerance induced by parasitic products and the effects on the microbiota. Our main drive is the development of novel therapeutics for allergic and autoimmune diseases.
Role Purposes / Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will support the projects on the prevention and treatment of allergic asthma. You are expected to have laboratory skills and experience with animal models, experience with human cells (blood/biopsies/tissues a plus).
The following duties apply:
- Protein expression
- Animal experimentation (mice): i.p, i.v, i.t, i.n, oral gavage, dissection and tissue processing
- Flow cytometry
About You:
To be successful in this role you will require experience in the following areas;
- Mouse models (animal handling and experimentations (injections, dissection, plethysmography, etc.)
- Cell culture (including human cells/tissues) and tissue preparation
- Flow cytometry
- Protein expression
- Multitasking and handling multiple experiments/projects is essential
- Molecular biology, confocal microscopy is desirable as is a background in asthma or allergy.
