Banyule City Council requires responsible and reliable individuals to work as casual school crossing supervisors to assist school children and other pedestrians to cross at established children’s crossings and traffic lights.

You will be accountable for:

• Supervising children and pedestrians at children’s crossings and traffic lights during nominated hours on school days.
• Maintaining a high level of awareness, professional behaviour and conduct.
• Maintaining sensible road behaviour of children and pedestrians using the crossing.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a high level of awareness and an ability to judge traffic flow.
• Be able to work with children specifically and the wider public in general.
• Understand the relevant traffic laws.

These casual positions attract an hourly rate of $33.63 and uniforms and training is provided.
