The Client

Our client within a Federal Government agency is seeking a Cabinet Liaison Officer who has a high knowledge level of Cabinet processing. This position is based in Canberra.

The Role

Your role will require you to have great attention to detail, demonstrated organisational ability, strong client service focus and the capacity to learn.  A knowledge of CabNet and Cabnet+Viewer systems will be an advantage.

If successful your duties will include, but aren’t limited to:

• day-to-day handling of the Portfolio’s Cabinet business;
• manage the department’s Cabinet documents and information via CabNet and CabNet+ Veiwer;
• facilitate and coordinate the circulation of Cabinet documents to relevant line areas for action and response;
• coordinate the provision of Cabinet Briefings for Ministers;
• provide timely advice and support to Departmental officers and senior managers on processes, preparation and timings of Cabinet documents, responses and briefing material;
• liaise and negotiate with other government agencies and departments;
• liaise and negotiate with our Ministers Offices; and
• coordinate regular reporting processes

   Negative Vetting 1 security clearance essential
