Our Federal Government Client is seeking multiple security personnel, specifically Security Support Officers. The Personnel Security Support Officer is an APS4 level role responsible for undertaking personnel security related activities including non-complex employment suitability assessments, coordination of security clearances and administrative tasks relevant to personnel security.

The Personnel Security Officer works under the support and general direction of senior staff. They exercise initiative and judgement in the interpretation of security policy, and in the application of security practices and procedures.

Key duties may include:

• perform administrative tasks to assist the team with the day to day management of personnel security processes
• conduct non-complex personnel security risk assessments to determine the employment suitability of staff for the department
• under direction, research, interpret and apply personnel security procedures, policies and legislation
• develop a range of personnel security documentation such as employment suitability assessments
• maintain and use databases to collate data to include in reports.

The aplicant should have the ability to:

• manage time and prioritise workload to meet operational requirements
• apply attention to detail, sound judgement, analysis and problem solving skills
• communicate concisely and confidently
• provide non-complex security advice that complies with the Australian Government's Security requirements.

You must be an Australian citizen and have a current Commonwealth Government BASELINE security clearance to apply for this role.
