Senior Design Engineer
ABOUT THE ROLE
RCR’s Rail Division are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to manage the design services in Perth CBD. The successful candidate will report to the Project Manager and manage a group of rail design engineers and ensure all deliverables are submitted in a timely manner.
DUTIES
- Manage scope development and tendering process
- Ensure compliance with, and implementation of the company’s management system
- Manage the design review and verification process
- Coordinate engineering support to the project and tendering teams
- Serve as the primary interface with design consultants
- Maintains overall knowledge of drawings, specifications, general contracts and time schedules
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Extensive experience in a design role in the railway signalling industry. Including experience with BHP railway signalling
- Tertiary Engineering qualification
- Clear understanding of Australian codes & standards regarding Rail Signalling
- Proficient in planning, organising and working to time lines
- Experience leading a team of Designers
- Strong competencies with Design software
