Your Company
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator with 5+ years experience or Senior Estimator to join one of Queensland's most successful and progressive construction companies. You will be joining at such a stage of growth and internal investment that your position will see you become the envy of the Brisbane construction scene looking after commercial building projects that vary in value from $1m - $40m.
As a result of their continued success this builder are in need of an experienced estimator / senior estimator to join their ranks and provide further experience and energy to their already highly proficient team.
They consider their staff their most valuable asset and invest a lot of money back into development and training and as a result they have one of the most efficient and professional construction teams in the country. This company is big on building positive relationships with all stakeholders and as such have a fantastic reputation in the market.
Your Position
To be successful in this role you will have recent experience working as an Estimator or Senior Estimator pricing a wide variety of commercial building projects with a proven track record of winning new work (either as a team or individually). You will have the opportunity to work on projects starting at $1m and up to $40m and have experience on projects at least up to $15m.
You will have experience working on hard dollar, D&C and negotiated tenders. Attitude is key and your exemplary work ethic will be in good company.
You will report into the Estimating Manager who is an excellet example of the internal opportunites available and how this company promote from within.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Must have recent experience as an Estimator working on hard dollar, D&C and negotiated tenders up to $40m.
- Minimum 5 years experience in an estimating position
- Experience operating using first principles
- Recent experience on commercial build projects in Australia
- Experience tendering on regional projects in QLD and NSW is beneficial
- Confidence in your abilities to communicate with Senior Management and sub contractors alike
- Have the ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team
- Have the ability to mentor junior team members
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
