My client, a leading financial services organisation who has a close knit culture, annual overseas sales conferences, is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager in their Third party broking business in Adelaide, South Australia. This opportunity will suit someone who is energetic and a self-starter as the role will require significantly autonomy and will require the ability to travel.
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with a portfolio of Brokers and Introducers to originate applications, which are consistent with lending criteria and volume targets across Motor Finance whist actively developing and fostering key business relationships.
Due to the high level of day to day external and internal interactions, the BDM requires excellent inter-personal and people management skills and the ability to travel.
Overall responsibility would be to assist in driving regional sales strategy with specific focus on:
- Identifying and working with a portfolio of brokers to drive motor finance applications
- Working with brokers to improve deal submission quality and conversion ratios
- Conducting face to face meetings, emails, phone calls from brokers.
- Develop new and existing relationships to increase sales performance.
- Working in collaboration with other brokers in other verticals such as mortgages and commercials loans.
Key Characteristics & experience required to succeed:
- A hunter, self-motivated and a strong drive to succeed.
- Previous experience working to sales targets with proven success.
- Previous experience in auto finance is highly regarded
- Ability to manage and develop third party relationships.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to manage a busy pipeline.
- Strong organisational skills and ability.
- Resilience and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in sales and managing a sales target.
- Current driver's license.
