Premium Client Manager

The Premium Client Manager will drive the acquisition of, and manage the ongoing relationships with, a number of our high value clients. The Premium Client Manager will also provide the appropriate level of account management, customer service and trade execution to the Premium client portfolio in Australia.

 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Proactively seek to introduce new clients to IG's products and services
  • Leverage existing relationships with clients to gain client referrals
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective business and proactively manage through the various sales stages through to conversion
  • Maintain relationships with new and existing clients, fully reflecting the high quality of the IG premium client proposition
  • Manage a balance of own sourced and house accounts within a portfolio, maximising their overall value and retention
  • Proactively meet and entertain clients (and prospects) at sporting and cultural events which will require frequent travel within Australia
  • Handling incoming dealing lines (volumes will be dictated by client activity and market volatility)
  • Dealing for both your allocated and personally recruited clients as well as covering for colleagues' client bases where necessary. This will also include non-dealing client queries
  • It may occasionally be necessary to work on bank holidays and weekends although time off is earned in lieu for this

Desired skills and competencies:

  • Educated to degree level ideally in a numerate subject
  • At least four year's experience in broking and/or derivative sales
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of financial markets
  • Contacts with High Net Worth/Professional trading clients
  • Highly numerate and computer literate
  • Able to work to a consistently high standard
  • A logical and analytical approach
  • Good time management skills
  • Worked within a financial environment such as a busy dealing room
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of derivatives
  • Shows drive and tenacity in reaching goals, always seeking new opportunities for growth
  • Excellent client handling and relationship building capability
  • Takes responsibility for own workload on a pro-active basis
  • Able to communicate well at any level
