This leading Australian organisation is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their Payroll division. Working within the Shared Services Function the payroll team (team of 6) works in unison with Finance and HR function to deliver a seamless service during a period of transformation.

Your new role
This key role is responsible for ensuring that the end to that payroll piece is delivered in a timely manner to ensure the process is in line with legislation, applicable award's & agreements and company policies.

The role will include:

  • Delivering a timely and accurate payroll on a fortnightly and monthly basis using Chris21
  • Full function end to end responsibility within a team environment
  • Create new starters and process terminations
  • Payroll reconciliations and monthly payroll reports
  • Assist with project management initiatives
  • Calculation of manual payments and adjustments
  • Provide ongoing support to the senior leadership change management team
  • Work alongside the National Payroll Manager on all process improvement objectives
  • Manual adjustments and calculations
  • Payment and reconciliation of deductions, super payments and payroll tax
  • Prepare and comply with superannuation regulations
  • Calculate leave and allowances
  • Prepare employee payroll summaries and reconcile for the ATO at year end
  • Handling payroll queries from employees
  • Build effective relationships with staff, the business and third parties

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have a minimum of 3-5 years' payroll experience in either an end to end or independent payroll role, be exposed to reconciliations and/or reporting an Chris21. You will have proven communication skills and proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures.
