An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance team working for a well-established Japanese technology leader. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for effective operation of the credit department by accurate processing of credit data and efficient performance of related credit duties.

Responsibilities include but not restricted to:

  • Coordinating credit claim processing including liaisons with customers and internal authorities to issue credit notes/rejection advices.
  • Processing prospective customers for creditworthiness, including contact with trade referees, industry contacts, and financial reporting agencies.
  • Processing payments received from customers, which can be via EFT, cheque, cash or credit card.
  • Ensure that QA standards and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Entering and issuing credit notes through debtor’s ledger.
  • Maintaining debt ledgers and records.
  • Processing customer rebates.
  • Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors’ DSO.
  • Other ad-hoc duties relating to accounts receivable work within the finance area.

 

Required skills and experience:

  • A tertiary degree in Finance, Accounting or a related subject.
  • 2-3 years proven experience as a Credit Controller, Accounts Receivable Officer or similar role is required.
  • Previous SAP and/or Pronto experience is highly regarded.
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills is required.  
  • A strong commitment to customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

 

Must be an Australian permanent resident.
