Would you like to work for a leading non for profit?
If so, we are looking to hire a payroll officer for this organisation that have a mission to provide services to some of the most vulnerable in the community. They have a proud history in Australia of caring for this community and are at the forefront of this charitable sector.
They are currently looking to recruit a sole payroll officer in their head office, based in the inner west of Melbourne, accesible by public transport and with free parking on site. Reporting to a flexible and enthusiastic finance manager, you would join a friendly team that has a stable, familial atmosphere.
The exact nature of the role is as follows:
Payroll --- 650 staff
Frequency --- Fortnightly
Reporting to --- Financial Controller
Payroll System --- Sage Micropay
T&A system --- bespoke
Enterprise Agreements --- x2 (both in Victoria) - Reflected in the payroll system.

Tasks:
- Master data, setting up employees in the system and adding TFN and super details.
- Payrun processing, creating the ETF file, checking it and sending to finance for final checks and upload.
- Superannuation, paying super and preparing reports.
- Processing new starters, termination, long service leave.
- EOM reporting
- Answering queries
- Complying with single touch payroll requirements.

Experience Required
- Excellent technical payroll knowledge.
- Understanding of end to end payroll process.
- Understanding of enterprise bargaining agreement interpretation princples.
- Understanding of modern awards interpretation.
- Payroll tax knowledge and PAYG knowledge.
