Established in 1984, we are a highly successful, medium sized manufacturing business located in Mulgrave NSW. Our organization currently has an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our busy Finance-HR Department initially on a contract basis with a view to full-time permanent. You will need to have had at least 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

As Assistant Accountant, you will be part of a small team responsible for the following:

• General Ledger and monthly bank reconciliations and journals

• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset register

• Preparation of FBT and BAS returns

• Statutory reporting requirements and ad hoc accounting processes.

• Assistance with AP/AR & Payroll

  Your qualifications and experience must include:

• Minimum Degree with major in accounting, advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with an ERP system such as SyteLine or SAP

• AP & AR processing (essential) and Costing (highly regarded)

•  

  Advanced Excel skills especially in Pivot Tables

  You will also have :

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent English communication

• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.

• Ability to multi-task, work unsupervised, be well organised and achieve deadlines

• Hands-on approach to your work and well developed problem solving and analytical skills.
