Our firm is a well established accounting firm located in Smithfield. We provide a wide range of tax, accounting, and business services to our professional & business clients across wide range of different industries.

About the role

We are looking for a competent person to join our friendly team who can attend to the bookkeeping, tax returns and other needs for a portfolio of clients in our firm. The job involves preparation of financial reports, preparation of business activity statements and preparation of tax returns. You will be reporting directly to a partner. It is preferred if the candidate has experience with software's MYOB, Xero, Excel and Word. The applicant should be at least TAFE qualified and has a few years of experience. Previous experience in public practice will be highly regarded.

Skills and experience

You must have the Ability to work independently, build strong relationships with clients, and work towards deadlines. You will be hands on and responsible for:-

• Preparation of BASs for companies, trusts, partnership, and sole traders,
• Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnership and sole traders
• Preparation of tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders,

Ideally you will have:

• 3+ years' Xero and MYOB experience
• Have high communication skills and a strong technical focus, and
• Ability to meet deadlines.
