The General Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination and management of all the customer service, purchasing, warehousing, distribution and injection moulding manufacturing for the NSW operations located in Warriewood & Kings Park.
As a member of the Management Team, this position’s primary responsibility is ensuring organisational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organisation’s operational functions.
Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices along with management of staff for optimum performance.
Job Description:
The General Manager ensures that products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
Maintaining strong working relationships with key customers to provide optimal levels of safety, quality, delivery, profitability, sustainability, productivity, and ultimately leading to customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties:

Establishes manufacturing policies and practices in the areas of Lean techniques, materials management, capacity planning, production scheduling, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures

Play a significant role in long-term planning, including and initiative geared toward operational excellence.

Ensures compliance with Company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, environmental responsibility, inventory management, and Company employment policies and guidelines

Management of operational budget in coordination with the Senior Management Team.

Participate in general management of the site and departments, while leading continuous improvement within the department.

Recommends and implements strategic changes in business and operations strategy.

Builds, develops and manages operation leaders capable of carrying out needed operations strategies and improving employee relations.

Identifies and proactively raises company issues and trends; recommends alternatives for improved effectiveness.

Implements cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures and manpower

Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate operational performance and improved working relationships

Actively engages / communicates with all levels of the company; drives efforts to promote employee engagement. Promotes and fosters a culture of collaboration, cooperation and communication.

Maintain close working relationships with clients to determine their existing and future needs and proposing suitable products / services in order to maintain and grow revenue for the company
Requirements:
- 5+ Years of hands-on operations experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in injection moulding
- Strong record of continuous improvement success including demonstrated sales experience in revenue growth.
- Must be self-directed, well organized and have good follow-up skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills.
- Solid PC skills including proficiency in MS Office applications
