Aggreko has a rewarding position available for a driven Area Sales Manager, based out of our Sydney Depot. This is your Opportunity to lead a team of technical sales professionals in NSW to achieve sales revenue, budgets and sales objectives for assigned territories and sectors, as well as being responsible for key accounts. This role will be responsible for but not limited to:-

  • To lead and direct area sales personnel to achieve depot and individual sales objectives, ensuring revenue targets are exceeded.
  • Integrate with AusPac Sales Leadership and operate collaboratively within a matrix environment
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing and territory sales plans for the region and each consultant.
  • Drive agreed sales and marketing campaigns throughout the area.
  • Drive the importance of customer response for the Customer Experience survey to your sales team and customer base.
  • Provide weekly revenue forecasts and monthly reports to the Area General Manager.
  • Responsible to manage price strategy and controls to maximise rental and recovery rates
  • Ensure optimal sales team performance and by providing day-to-day leadership, deployment, development and coaching.
  • Along with the Area General Manager set individual revenue budgets and drive success throughout the area and region while ensuring profitable sales.
  • Identify and establish major key account business opportunities in surrounding areas. You will be responsible for achieving individual revenue targets for these accounts.
  • Deliver key presentations for major opportunities to existing and potential Aggreko customers.
  • Determine actions for sales personnel in regard to appraisals, staffing levels, hiring termination, promotion, salary etc.
  • Ensure that the CRM system is utilised correctly and regularly by the sales team.
  • Ensure that the induction of new sales personnel is conducted in line with current procedures and sign off is done by the Area General Manager and HR department.
  • Maintain market awareness for opportunities, major projects, market trends, new products and competitor activity.
  • Advise the Business Development and National Product Managers of any major projects or product opportunities in your region.
  • Coordinate weekly/monthly sales meetings and chair periodic strategy meetings in conjunction with Area General Manager.
  • Strong working relationship with Operations Team, Operations Manager, Administration Team and Area Administration Team Leader.
  • Full participation and support to Orange Excellence initiatives and projects.

Reporting directly to the Area General Manager, the successful candidate will likely possess the following:

  • A proven track record in Sales Management with a minimum of 5 year's experience in leading a Technical sales teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to liaise, develop and maintain relationships with people at all levels within an organisation.
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of the sales process.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong commercial skills.
  • Must be willing to travel both locally throughout NSW to support clients and the sales function as well as interstate to participate and support training
