Our client, a large global utilities organisation, is seeking a Software Licensing/Asset Management Specialist to join the team and work autonomously in the creation of a register of software licensing requirements. The successful candidate will be an experienced and mature candidate with excellent liaison skills, strong vendor management skills, research skills and specialist software licensing knowledge.
This is an initial 6-month contract paying $835/day including super. Based in Brisbane CBD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify usage entitlements for software currently in use within the organisation
- Produce compliance statements and other relevant documentation as required
- Provide remediation advice for compliance as required
- Ensure compliance by initiating remediation activities as required
- Vendor management as required to obtain necessary data
- Progress tracking and reporting
Key Selection Criteria:
- Understanding of Software Agreements and constructs
- Understanding of Software licensing models and their application
- Strong facilitation skills and relationship building
- Attention to detail, both in numbers (financials) and in contract (or similar) documents
- Ability to deal with confrontation and manage difficult situations
- Strong ability to debate and hold a position, while also understanding alternative views / solutions
- Relentless determination in finding results
