Customer Service Officer – NSW Government
A part-time Customer Service Officer is required by a NSW Government Department based in the CBD on an initial 7-month contract to work 3 days per week to deliver high quality customer service to the general public and provide administrative support services.
Rostered days: TBC (most likely Tuesday, Friday, Saturday)
Key accountabilities:
- Provide reception and switchboard services
- Respond to enquires made over the phone, in person, and via email
- Act as the first point of contact for booking enquires; convert enquires into sales and process bookings
- Sell and promote merchandise including processing cash and credit transactions
- Maintain reception and customer-facing areas; restocking merchandise, information and promotional brochures
- Reprinting fact sheets and compiling information kits
- Undertake incident reporting – data entry, filing paperwork, escalating issues when required
- Maintain the lost and found register – ensure articles are properly handled, logged and stored
- Administrative duties including: photocopying, mail-outs, word processing, spreadsheet preparation, faxing, arranging couriers, etc.
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Reception/switchboard experience
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- High level administrative skills
- Strong organisational skills
