Recreation Contractor (Swim Instructor)

We are looking for? Experienced, enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated Recreational Contractor specifically as Swim Instructors who are committed to the delivery of high quality programs and outstanding customer service. 

What will you be doing and where? You will be required to instruct both group, private and school group swimming lessons in a flexible roster environment considering your requirements at Melbourne City Baths (MCB) and/or North Melbourne Recreation Centre (NMRC).

What are we offering? You will be joining two leading health and fitness centres in the heart of Melbourne and will be working with a small team of Swim Instructors who are passionate about what they do! Swim instructors with a weekly permanent shift receive free gym membership at both MCB and NMRC.  

When will we need you? We are a growing learn to swim program and looking for swim instructors who are passionate about swimming and water safety. We are looking for Swim Instructors to start as soon as possible (ideally) however opportunities are also available throughout the year.

You will bring to the role…

• An AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety or equivalent licence
• A current First Aid certificate (HLTAID003)
• A current CPR qualification
• A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Good understanding of personal obligations with regard to health and safety in      an aquatic and recreation environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• An ability to work independently and problem solve.

Accompanying these credentials will be your outstanding customer service, teamwork and interpersonal skills that enable effective communication with students, parents and colleagues.
