Cropping Manager
RMCG is seeking a Cropping Manager on behalf of a client in South West Victoria, located near Streatham. The 2,500-hectare enterprise produces cereal, oilseed, legume, hay and silage crops.
The Cropping Manager will conduct the majority of the ‘hands on’ work for the enterprise with the support of another staff member.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all cropping activities occur on time and to a high-quality standard as advised by the agronomist
- Co-ordination of all cropping, hay and grain logistics throughout the year
- Ensure that the plant and equipment is maintained to a high standard
- Maximise the performance of the cropping business
- Ensure that safe work practices occur
- Record all necessary production data so that performance can be analysed

- Ability to take instruction and guidance from the business owner via weekly management meetings and monthly planning meetings
- A friendly and enthusiastic approach to work and people
- A ‘can do’ approach to the work program and ensuring the work program is achieved
- High level of honesty and integrity
- Mechanical skills to service and repair equipment
