Detail information about job Area Practice Manager. Terms and conditions vacancy

National Veterinary Care (NVC) has an exciting new opportunity available for an Area Practice Manager to join our business, working across two clinics: Balaclava Veterinary Surgery and Coral Sea Vet Care, QLD.

Our clinics are situated in the heart of tropical far north Queensland. The region is an important gateway to the nearby Atherton Tablelands, Daintree and Wet Tropics rainforest, and the outback Savannah region beyond the Great Dividing Range. A world-renowned tourist destination that will not disappoint!

Established over 30 years ago, the team at Balaclava Veterinary Surgery is committed to providing the highest level of professional service and care for pets. We treat cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rats, mice and birds. The clinic does not only serve the Cairns Region, but also the Cape York communities and beyond, with a range of services from training and preventative health care through to medical and surgical procedures. The clinic has just finished a major renovation and now boasts 3 consult rooms (including a cat only room), separate cat and dog wards, a stat of the art surgery and a spacious and inviting reception area.

Coral Sea Vet Care offers numerous professional veterinary services, including everything from consults to surgeries and has some great mainstream and alternative technology including digital X-ray and ultrasound, Abaxis in house lab, dark field microscopy, in-house titer testing, and Bioptron light therapy. We work closely with the local animal shelter, the council and wildlife rescue, and our clinic is a Feng Shui designed, healthy working environment in natural surroundings.

The right candidate will have a commitment and passion for elevated level patient and client care and the desire to provide exemplary customer service. The perfect candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team whilst demonstrating effective communication skills, along with having a collaborative team approach.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous Practice Management experience in a clinical setting is essential
  • The ability to lead, manage and support the performance of your team to ensure excellent customer service (including rostering and performance management)
  • Experience liaising with industry suppliers and clinical representatives
  • Past exposure and commitment to organising community projects
  • Strong communication skills with the desire to build effective working relationships
  • Good business acumen and excellent organisational skills
  • Superior administration skills and proven ability to maximise operational efficiency.
  • The desire to grow the practice to the best it can possibly be!

What we are offering:

  • A competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • Access to continuous professional development
  • Opportunity to work with a high performing team and have autonomy in your role
  • The opportunity to take your clinics to the next level, alongside a dedicated team committed to providing optimum patient care
  • Supporting capabilities such as I.T., Finance, HR and Marketing to enable you to deliver desired outcomes.

WHO IS NVC?

Our clinic is part National Veterinary Care (NVC), a group of 60 clinics located across Australia and New Zealand. What makes us different?

National Veterinary Care believes that if we put our people first, the results will follow. We achieve this through having a highly qualified Veterinary Surgeon as our General Manager, who keeps our clinical standards at the forefront of business decisions. We achieve it through our Veterinary Training Centre – industry firsts where we offer practical CPD in everything from behaviour through to orthopaedic surgery – so that you have the skills and confidence to care for every pet who comes through your clinic doors. We empower our Lead Vets and Practice Mangers to run their clinics the way they see fit, providing admin support where needed. We don't re-brand our clinics. We empower our Graduates to achieve their goals through mentoring, internships and hands on workshops. We empower our Nurses to support their teams through upskilling and team consulting. Our scale allows us to ensure our clinics are well equipped and maintained, but we still want each individual clinic to have their own personality in their communities. Our Wellness Program allows you to teach your clients about preventative healthcare and build lasting relationships.
