The Company
Established in 1972 the Mitolo Group is a successful and dynamic family owned business supplying potatoes and onions for sale in major Australian supermarket chains and produce markets nationally. Our business is experiencing high growth, and provides a perfect opportunity for an experienced and mechanically minded and highly motivated individual to take on new challenges within our business.
The Role
Reporting to the Farm Manager you will be responsible for the installation, movement, service and repair of centre pivot and other irrigation. You will be responsible for control of the irrigation equipment and measure soil moisture to ensure optimum levels as directed by the Farm Manager and Farm Agronomist.
During quieter periods of the seasons you will be required to assist in other general farm related duties.
To be successful you will possess the following:
- Experience with irrigation systems (centre pivot irrigation preferred)
- Experience with soil moisture monitoring and testing
- Experience with implementing irrigation programs
- Chemical Handling Certificate
- Sound computer skills
- Driver’s license
