We are looking for candidates with relevant dairy experience to work in the Western district of Victoria. Working on a successful family farm only 30 minutes from the beach at Port fairy.
Main duties will include :
- Milking in a rotary dairy. The position is a physical role, and the operator is expected to take part in all aspects of milk harvesting, such as cups-on/off, herding and cleaning.
Other duties may also include:
- General farm duties such as setting up paddocks, feeding out hay etc. Machinery experience would be an advantage.
- Irrigation work
- Collecting and feeding calves
Own transport is a must as well as a current drivers licence as accommodation isn't on farm it is available on a secondary farm within minutes
Good English skills are required.
Casual rates, full-time equivalent roster, $22.86/hour
Accommodation available on farm.
Days worked will count towards 88 days for 417 working holiday visa.
