Dogues of Ascot and Ascot Veterinary Surgery operate jointly to provide a complete service to our clients from Pet Grooming to Veterinary Care. We are a well-established business and are currently looking for an EXPERIENCED pet groomer to join our fun, social and friendly team.

Provided with excellent working conditions, you will be supported by a designated bather and dryer so you can focus on styling.

Responsibilities will include:

• Independent, high quality grooming including clipping, scissoring, ear cleaning, nail clipping etc.
• Customer Service
• Maintaining safe animal handling
• Cleaning and maintenance of grooming room and equipment

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Dog grooming qualification and previous grooming experience within the industry
• An ability to perform a wide range of traditional as well as non-traditional styles on varying breeds e.g. Maltese, Westie, Schnauzer, Poodle, Cavoodle, Collies, Lagotto etc.
• Must be able to finish dogs confidently
• Must be confident in handling large and difficult dogs
• Must love dogs and be able to demonstrate patience and compassion
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Must be reliable and well presented
• Must be able to work independently but alongside others in a designated grooming room
• Have a positive interpersonal style

Hours are available between Monday to Friday with no weekend work. The hours and salary will be negotiable dependent on the extent of your prior experience.
