Your new role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager who is a focussed, resourceful and enthusiastic leader, to manage the technical facets of our compost operations. Based at our world renowned Adelaide Mushrooms facility in Monarto, South Australia and reporting to the Compost Manager, the Technical Manager will provide advice on Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 Compost production and be responsible for consistent quality and volume requirements of Costa's Monarto operations. Although the Technical Manager is an advisory role it is also a working hands-on role, that will monitor the performance of compost from making compost in Phase 1 to filling the growing rooms and trouble shoot accordingly, including the recording of adjustments and results of laboratory analysis.
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 5 years practical experience in all phases of mushroom composting and growing
Strong analytical and communication skills
Thorough risk management, planning and organisational skills.
Agricultural science degree
Demonstrated safety leadership and people management skills
Experience in profitability and cost control accountabilities.
Leadership and computer literacy, are essential requirements to the role.
