The Role

• Two Fixed Term Positions (until December 2020), Both Part Time - 17.5 hours per week
• Level 6 - $37,139 to $40,211 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
• One position at Dubbo or Orange and one position at Albury-Wodonga or Wagga Wagga

The Indigenous Health Success Officer, under the direction of the Indigenous Health and Pathways Lead, will be responsible for the implementation and evaluation of a range of services, provided in an inclusive and holistic approach, to facilitate Indigenous student recruitment, participation and success in health courses at CSU.

To be successful you will have:

• Identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander with; thorough working knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and societies
• Qualifications as outlined in the position description
• Demonstrated excellence in project management including design, delivery, implementation and evaluation

The Three Rivers University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) is a newly established UDRH based at Charles Sturt University in the Riverina and Central West region of New South Wales. The Three Rivers UDRH provides an opportunity for academic staff committed to educating a future rural health workforce.

The key activities of the UDRH are:

• Raising the aspiration and success of Indigenous and rural students from the outer regional and remote footprint of the UDRH;
• Growing capacity for collaborative quality community-led rural clinical training, particularly in smaller regional communities and across expanded practice areas such as disability, aged care, mental health and primary care;
• Evaluating the activities of the UDRH, researching rural health workforce capabilities and trialling approaches to service delivery to enhance the health of rural Australians; and
• Fostering the development of future rural health capabilities by developing new multidisciplinary resources and training programs.
