Erina Baptist Preschool was established in 1977 and has an excellent reputation for delivering exceptional Christian early education. We have a highly qualified and enthusiastic educator team with an exceptional team culture. 

We are open 7.30am-6.30pm, 52 weeks a year and care for children aged 0-6. 

We are recruiting a part time (25 hrs / week) Director / Nominated Supervisor to provide exceptional leadership and organisational management, delivering high quality Christian early childhood education. This will be achieved by:-

Embedding the centre’s philosophy, vision and values into all areas of leadership, educational practice, and engagement with families and community.

Setting strategic directions and fostering professional values which inform how the centre operates. Model and promote a constructive workplace culture which allows all staff members to create and participate in collaborative and reflective learning communities. Support educators to learn from each other and develop professionally, welcoming new ideas, encouraging reflection and self-review, and motivating educators to pursue continuous improvement. 

Extending the role beyond the service to proactively develop and sustain strong and respectful relationships, through regularly connecting with all families as well as the local community and establishing links with other education and care services to form professional networks of practice.

Developing, implementing and managing high quality internal systems which comply with regulatory requirements and clearly set out how the centre operates. These systems guide and support educators, coordinators and staff members to enable them to focus on delivering quality education and care.

Managing an ongoing cycle of planning, review and evaluation, driven by strategic leadership and effective administrative systems, to enable the service to engage in continuous quality improvement.

End to end responsibility and management for key administrative systems including:

• a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
• regular performance reviews and individual staff development plans

Proactively support Approved Provider in ensuring administrative systems are implemented, accurate, up to date and compliant with NQS & relevant legislation

• displaying and reporting of information
• documented policies and procedures

Essential to the role is the detailed and up-to-date knowledge, understanding and full application of all relevant legislation and regulations including but not limited to

• National Quality Standards
• National Law and National Regulations
• Approved learning frameworks (EYLF - Belonging, Being, Becoming)
• Legal Requirements of the Nominated Supervisor role

We are offering above award salary (negotiable on experience) and the flexibility of part-time hours (25 hrs / week). The role has administration / office support each day, and reports into the Executive Officer who manages the business and financial side of the centre. Our centre has ample parking for staff and families and is also located on major bus routes just 3 minutes from Erina Fair. 

Applicants must have 

• The right to work in Australia
• Either Diploma or ECT qualifications and excellent educational experience
• Extensive leadership experience
• A current Working with Children Check (WWC)
• A personal Christian faith
• Professional references
