Townsville Concrete – Plant Manager

An exciting role exists with Townsville Concrete for a Plant Manager at our batching plant at Bohle.

Reporting to the Area Manager, the successful candidate will need to ensure that the Townsville team is highly efficient, operates in a safe and environmentally conscious manner while producing at the lowest possible cost.

While maximising selling price, this autonomous role will require the plant manager to develop sales plans, pursue sales opportunities, influence market decision makers, provide technical advice and support to customers, maintain sales documentation and records in an accurate manner and assist in the submission of tenders and analysing market trends.

Applicants with the following attributes will be favourably considered

• A proven history in sales and customer service with a commitment to building strong long term relationships with customers and suppliers, particularly in the Townsville market area.
• Proven premixed concrete industry experience and knowledge including either batching and allocating experience and / or agitator driving experience.
• A "hands on" approach with a willingness to lend a hand at every opportunity.
• Demonstrated natural ability in staff management, motivation and team leadership.
• The ability to maintain technical, environmental and quality industry standards.
• A dedication to providing a safe working environment.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• A commitment to work a five and a half day week.
