The Opportunity

Due to internal re-structuring, we are currently looking for a full time Team Leader to take charge of this fast-paced processing environment, located at our Kinglake West site, a mere hour away from Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs within the picturesque Yarra Valley region in Victoria.

This opportunity will see you leading a highly automated, innovative processing department that is required to ongoingly meet internal and external quality and food standards. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives when faced with a challenge and takes pride in their ability to meet targets whilst supporting and developing world class processes, systems and people.

The role of the Grading Floor Team Leader is pivotal in supporting the Processing Managers to meet safety, quality, operational and production objectives, whilst ensuring GMP, HACCP and food safety principles are followed.

The Role

Reporting to the Processing Manager your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Participate in all HSEQ activities to meet internal and external requirements, including audits;
  • Support and supervise labour, plant and equipment at an optimal level to achieve operations requirements of the department;
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure customer requirements are met;
  • Assist with maintaining and improving processes and systems;
  • Review, implement, instruct and maintain internal company documents such as policy and procedures, work instructions and operating procedures;
  • Keep all accurate and timely information to provide to key stakeholders as required;
  • Monitor, resolve and escalate identified issues involving plant and equipment;
  • Identifying areas for continual improvement;
  • Engage, motivate and smile with your team.

To be successful

Current management experience or “ad hoc” mentoring (rising leader) would be advantageous, however candidates from varied industry backgrounds will be considered.
