Our client is a very successful international freight forwarder. With a network of offices and agents around the globe, they offer a door to door service to a diverse client base. An opportunity has arisen within their Melbourne branch for a suitably experienced Export Sea Freight Officer to join the team and take on their own portfolio of clients.
Reporting to the Export Manager, a typical week would include:
- Registering jobs using Cargowise One
- Arranging transport of containers
- Lodging EDNs and PRAs
- Generating export permits
- Sending Forwarding Instructions
- Distributing documentation to clients / service providers
- Liaising with shipping lines, transport companies and internal teams to coordinate the movement of containers from your clients' premises to the wharf
- Responding to inquiries from your clients
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Export Officer to manage their own portfolio of export clients in a role offering tonnes of variety within a laid back, friendly team environment.
- This is a full time permanent position based in Tullamarine.
- Applicants must be fully versed in all aspects of export ocean freight operations.
- Experience using the Cargowise One operating system is preferred, but not essential.
