The Central Highlands Economic Master Plan 2017-2022 (CHEMP) outlines a robust 30 year vision for the Central Highlands economy that is underpinned by 4 key economic pillars – export drivers, population, workforce and Governance. This vision has been developed in consultation with key industry, business, government and community stakeholders based on existing strengths and opportunities to propel the region into a strong and sustainable future that highlights the value of the regions diversity.
The Business & Investment Attraction Manager will have responsibility for developing a strategic framework to build on the solid foundations of the CHEMP, attracting investment to advance existing and emerging opportunities to realise aspirations and reset for the future.
This strategic framework will align with the regions long term vision of a self-sustaining regional inland hub for successful and thriving communities, with:
- a diversified economy and thriving local industries
- highly skilled, local workforce
- an international reputation as a reliable source of quality agricultural product
- high quality connectivity – digital and industry
- recognizable promotion of natural assets, and
- collaborative partnerships with public and private sectors
