CHDC is a not for profit organisation, supporting sustainable regional economic and tourism growth through;
- Support for the development and attraction of infrastructure and industry relevant projects and opportunities
- Marketing and promoting the Central Highlands as a region of choice for investment, business and lifestyle
- Support to increase the viability and sustainability of the region's businesses
The Business Facilitator will have responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with business and industry sectors, stakeholders and relevant government departments in the Central Highlands region to support business growth and sustainability and facilitate initiatives that:

Build and enable capability the development and implementation of strategies to promote and engage SME’s

Ensure stakeholder satisfaction by raising awareness connection businesses to resources, business support, mentoring and research and development strategies.
- Provide targeted initiatives to grow skills, connections and business knowledge
- Promote innovative business thinking
- Promote the Central Highlands as a “Region of Choice – to live work and invest”
The region covers an area of almost 60,000 square kilometers and incorporates the communities of Emerald, Sapphire Gemfields, Comet, Capella, Tieri, Rolleston, Springsure, Blackwater Bluff, Duaringa and Dingo
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the current industry and business environment and be able to develop effective working relationships with people across all levels of business, industry, the community and Government.
