About the School of Life Sciences

The School is one of the largest in the University with more than 170 continuing and fixed term staff across three campuses. It is a major contributor to university research strengths in both the Biological and Agricultural Sciences, achieving the highest possible rating ‘well above world standing’ from the Australian Research Council in the fields of Ecology, Zoology, Plant Biology, Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Crop and Pasture Production, and Veterinary Science, and rated as ‘above world standing’ in Genetics and Soil Science.
