Contaminated Land Management Consultant / Team Leader

Prensa is an established national consultancy with over 220 staff specialising in property, environmental and safety risk management that provides innovative consulting services to our clients. The business is comprised of a dynamic team of professionals with vast experience in a range of property, environment and safety disciplines, with offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Canberra. Prensa currently has three contaminated land Site Auditors and a wealth of technical expertise that strives to focus on client needs and endeavours to delight clients at all times.

Our existing national clients work across many sectors, both in industry and government. Prensa is an exciting and vibrant consultancy with an expanding client base. Due to our current expansion phase, the growing team requires additional key staff to further our business in Queensland.

If you are a forward thinking, motivated environmental consultant then we are keen to speak with you. The person we are looking for will be:

  • Highly motivated and have the ability to engage with clients one on one;
  • Driven to progress their career and develop technically and professionally;
  • Established and networked in the contaminated land management market in Queensland;  
  • Confident in their ability to deliver innovative solutions and outstanding service to our clients;
  • Interested in developing into a team leader.

The diverse role will include consulting in the field of CLM, including:

  •          Project management;
  •          Fee proposal writing;
  •          Mentoring of junior staff;
  •          Contaminated land and groundwater assessments;
  •          Environmental due diligence assessments;
  •          Toxicology and risk assessments;
  •          Remediation planning; and
  •          Development of environmental management plans.

The successful applicant will have the following key skills:

  • A tertiary qualification in science, environmental science or engineering;
  • Five to ten years of professional consulting experience in Queensland;
  • An ability to independently manage clients and projects;
  • Detailed working knowledge of environmental legislation and guidelines in Queensland; and
  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal.
