The Fred Hollows Foundation is one of Australia’s most respected and trusted international development organisations whose vision is to end avoidable blindness and ensure the work of Fred Hollows lives on. The Foundation works in 26 countries across Africa, Asia, The Pacific and the Middle East as well as in Australia, the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.
Over the past 12 months, we have worked with the Board and the broader organisation to critically evaluate and define our vision, purpose and values. We have analysed global trends, relevant to our sector and have “asked the big and tough questions”. We are now seeking someone with the experience and expertise to help bring all of this together in a meaningful way, to ensure we reach our goals and deepen our impact. This complex role will see you report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Executive Team to ensure our corporate strategy is clearly articulated and seamlessly implemented.
To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has the following:
- Experience in leading and facilitation strategic planning processes within complex, global organisations
- A strong background in Corporate finance and /or MBA qualification would be highly desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role or working in a strategic consulting or “big-four” firm will be essential
In addition to this, we are seeking a team player with demonstrable ability to form good relationships at all levels. You will pride yourself of having clear communication skills with a genuine ability to consult, engage and inspire others. You will be a highly organised individual who enjoys taking logical, evidence-based approach to complex problem solving and be comfortable working with numbers and data.
