Acoustic Works requires the services of an experienced acoustic consultant with a minimum of 12 months experience to join our Brisbane office with experience in environmental acoustics. They will demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving, good communication skills and presentation.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 years of experience in acoustics.
- Tertiary degree in engineering or science.
- Development Applications - both large and small environmental noise impact assessments for commercial/industrial, road traffic, rail and aircraft.
- Exposure to building acoustics.
- Basic understanding of Soundplan 3D noise modelling software and CoRTN (training can be provided if required)
- Able to work with minimum supervision when required.
- Self-motivated in expanding your knowledge of acoustics.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage your own projects while working with a team of capable acoustic consultants.
- Liaise with clients and local/state authorities.
- Provide technical input for projects ranging from development applications to large scale projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered within the required timeframe, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
For applicants to be considered, they shall demonstrate skills in the following areas:
- Demonstrate a high standard of competency in communication, including reading and writing.
- Be willing to work with minimum supervision when required.
- Self-motivated in acquiring knowledge of their chosen profession both during and outside of work hours.
- Take direction and instruction as required improving their skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word.
- Hold a current Australian drivers licence.
