Acoustic Works requires the services of an experienced acoustic consultant with a minimum of 12 months experience to join our Brisbane office with experience in environmental acoustics. They will demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving, good communication skills and presentation.

Experience: 

  • Minimum 1 years of experience in acoustics.
  • Tertiary degree in engineering or science.        
  • Development Applications - both large and small environmental noise impact assessments for commercial/industrial, road traffic, rail and aircraft.
  • Exposure to building acoustics.
  • Basic understanding of Soundplan 3D noise modelling software and CoRTN (training can be provided if required)
  • Able to work with minimum supervision when required.
  • Self-motivated in expanding your knowledge of acoustics.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage your own projects while working with a team of capable acoustic consultants.
  • Liaise with clients and local/state authorities.
  • Provide technical input for projects ranging from development applications to large scale projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within the required timeframe, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.    

For applicants to be considered, they shall demonstrate skills in the following areas:

  • Demonstrate a high standard of competency in communication, including reading and writing.
  • Be willing to work with minimum supervision when required.
  • Self-motivated in acquiring knowledge of their chosen profession both during and outside of work hours.  
  • Take direction and instruction as required improving their skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word. 
  • Hold a current Australian drivers licence.
