The “Analyst – Mining Systems” role consults with the business to understand its business goals and objectives, acting as an intermediary working with IT project teams and business clients across the duration of the whole solution lifecycle to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into solution designs from which are then developed and refined. The work involves continued scoping and implementation effort for the pipeline of projects for 2018 to support the delivery of systems for projects.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience);
- 5+ years experience in Information Technology with a focus on Industrial technologies;
- Previous systems analysis roles on applications projects in the Mining and Manufacturing arena;
- Strong experience in engaging I&OT disciplines to ensure business alignment of solutions;
- Strong Experience with Mining and HME Systems;
- MMC experience (Wenco, Modular, MineStar/CAT Fleet)
- Machine guidance (CAT Terrain)
- Asset Health (Wenco Ready line, PRODUCTLINK)
- Tyre Monitoring
- Strong written and verbal communications;
- Ability to capture & develop expertise in business processes;
- Demonstrated understanding of full solution delivery lifecycle, esp. analysis, PM and RTP methods;
- Ability to share new findings and best practices;
- Self-motivated, excellent team player; and
- Highly Desirable Knowledge of/ Exposure to supporting systems;
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Data warehousing (Trimble Connected Mine, Intov8, MinVu)
- Data Analytics platforms (Power Bi, Tableau)
- Mine Planning (XPAC, Arc GIS, Vulcun, MineScape)
- Desirable Knowledge of/ Exposure to supporting systems
- Process Historians (OSISoft including AF)
- SCADA (Rockwell, Citect, Honeywell)
- Lost Time Accounting (Ampla)
- Condition Monitoring (Emerson, GE system one)
- Lab Information Management Systems (CCLAS, StarLIMS)
