The Role

Working in the Policy & Comms Unit for a high volume infrastructure focused business unit, managing multiple, ongoing large projects, preparing ministerials, media communications, and reports for a wide range of stakeholder groups.

Main Responsiblities

• Draft ministerial, parliamentary, executive & media communciations.
• Prepare reports for the Executive and Minister's Office on asset related issues.
• Remain up to date on knowledge of current asset related policies, proceudres and guidelines, as well as the implications of those policies.
• Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring correspondence is prepped and approved on time and accurate with guidelines and procedures.
• Track communications on records management system to ensure accurate current status.

Main Requirements

• Prior government experience at State or federal level is essential.
• Experience of working on capital works programs or failing that, other infrastructure projects will be massively beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal comms, this role will have a lot of client facing time with various stakeholders internal and external, and the successful individual will spend a lot of time working with people directly.
• Proven ability in a high volume, high pressure environment is essential.
• The ideal candidate will be very strong in communications, and have a good grasp of policy, more from a written perspective, as opposed to analytical.
