Our client is looking to engage an enthusiastic and experienced Strategic Communications Specialist to join their collaborative and proactive team on an exciting transformation project. The successful candidate will support the team in delivering key communications functions within a fast-paced environment, by creating and implementing innovative approaches to proactively and positively promote the organisation as a whole.

Key Responsibilities

• Researching and writing company news for publication across various channels

• Supporting the delivery of employee engagement campaigns
• Preparing operational and technical IT communications
• Supporting the Corporate Communications team to deliver high quality communications;
• Support the production of in-house video, photography and other creative content
• Co-ordinating logistics for a national program of corporate events.

Skills

• Related tertiary qualification, preferably Communications/PR
• Previous experience in finance or government sector
• Strong understanding of Corporate Communications principles, including basic communication plan development
• Ability to take complex issues and translate them into messages that are relevant to the target audiences, delivered via appropriate channels, tools and tactics
• Customer focused attitude
• Strong, demonstrated written and oral skills
• Solid understanding of brand management and the financial services industry
• Video production/editing and graphic design skills desirable
