The JPL Group is currently looking for a true professional to manage and control Loss Prevention across their Victorian and Tasmanian group of stores.
Your passion for ensuring Loss Prevention becomes a vital management and business function should be a standout. Your knowledge of Loss Prevention and experience across a multi-site retail environment should also be at the forefront. Based in Melbourne and working out of the Victorian State Office you will be a direct report to the Senior Group Loss Prevention Manager. You will work closely with and create a rapport with Regional/Store Management teams to ensure stores are performing efficiently and effectively. Your major roles will be to manage and control shrinkage and ensure that company policies and procedures relating to operational areas of risk are monitored and adhered too.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Implement company strategies relating to shrinkage controls
- Identify and investigate potential fraudulent activity both internally/externally
- Drive and educate loss prevention through store/regional seminars and presentations
- Maintain effective procedural control around areas of risk by conducting operational store audits
- Ensure accuracy of stock take results through integrity checks
- Maintain and control effective site security
- Ongoing review of company policies and procedures and make recommendations to improve company profit
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years Loss Prevention experience within a multi-site retail environment
- A sound understanding of retail practices and procedures
- Effective communication skills in order to carry out educational presentations
- The ability to analyse data to identify potential business losses
- Be proficient in statement taking and the preparation of briefs of evidence
- Be competent and familiar with HR issues and legislation
- A previous law enforcement background will be highly regarded
